Styreleder i Bygg Reis Deg, Arne Jebsen

“Bygg Reis Deg is stronger than it’s been in a long time”

For the first time as a Chairman of Bygg Reis Deg, Arne Jebsen reflects on the fair with pride: “It is incredibly fun to lead Bygg Reis Deg. I’m both proud and happy. The team behind it is doing a fantastic job, and the brand is stronger than ever,” he says.

A clear sign of renewed momentum

“We’re seeing both more visitors and more qualified ones than last time. That shows people genuinely want to meet in person — even in a time of digitalisation and social media. Bygg Reis Deg is proof that having a physical gathering point for the whole industry remains vital,” Jebsen emphasises

A ray of hope in a challenging period

While the construction sector has experienced tough years, Jebsen sees signs of recovery. “We’ve been in a negativ market situation for a while but I don’t believe it will get worse now. Next year will likely be on par with this one, but I expect brighter times ahead in 2027–2028. Many have held on during difficult years and are beginning to feel optimism again.”

Highlights: engagement, quality and collaboration

When asked about this year’s standout moments, Jebsen highlights three things:

“The opening conference was simply fantastic — many say it was the best ever.”

“The exhibitors’ stands — they have really invested time and resources to present themselves.”

“And finally, the seminars: this year they have a completely different dynamic, because the exhibitors themselves have taken ownership of the content.”

Looking ahead: bigger and broader

As a new Chairman, Jebsen sees big growth potential for the fair:

“Bygg Reis Deg is going to get even bigger and broader. We still have some way to go when it comes to involving the entire value chain — contractors, architects and advisers. The fair is already very good, but it can become even better.”

He concludes with a clear message: “Bygg Reis Deg is and will continue to be the construction industry’s most important meeting place. Here you get professional insight, inspiration and — not least — the edge.”
